Alan “Kid Kansas” Garcia

Born in Kansas, Alan Garcia was taken under the wing of Coach Gloria Alvarado at 17 years old. Throughout the past 4 years, they have developed a special bond—and that bond has proven to be unbreakable. Garcia stated:

“She took me in when she didn’t have much to offer, but the world. She was literally like my second mother. She saw potential in me when no body else did. It’s something I appreciate because it’s not something that happens a lot from Kansas. She tells me, ‘Mijo, if you’re ever going to get rid of me, just let me be VIP.” I’ll tell her, ‘I’m not going to.’ It’s been a great journey from where we started four years ago to where we are today, and we got a lot to go.”

Garcia is a star being born right before our eyes with every fight. The legendary Bob Arum, founder of Top Rank, was quoted, “Alan Garcia is a sensational young talent with world championship potential. He has everything it takes, in and out of the ring, to be a superstar in the sport.”

Tristan had the privilege of joining their team for Garcia’s bout vs Wilfredo Flores, May 18th, on the Navarette vs. Berinchyk card in San Diego, CA. He is currently 13-0 (10 KO’s).
